El británico Ethan Hayter (Ineos Grenadiers) consiguió la victoria en la Segunda etapa del Tour de Romandía 2022 con final en Échallens.
Ethan Hayter fue el más rápido al sprint masivo y conseguía derrotar al español Jon Aberasturi (Trek-Segafredo) y al colombiano Fernando Gaviria (UAE Team Emirates) los cuales ocuparon la segunda y tercera casilla respectivamente en el sprint.

Hayter remató un gran trabajo hecho por su equipo Ineos Grenadiers en el ultimo tramo de la etapa colocando un fuerte ritmo. El equipo británico dejó en una gran posición a su velocista y este remató con un gran sprint hacia la línea de meta.
La Clasificación General del Tour de Romandía 2022 sigue bajo el liderazgo del australiano Rohan Dennis (Jumbo-Visma) el cual tiene una ventaja de 14 segundos sobre el austriaco Felix Grossschartner (Bora-Hansgrohe) y el británico Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) los cuales ocupan la segunda y tercera casilla respectivamente.
