Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick Step) continúa liderando el Ranking Mundial de la UCI gracias a sus 10 victorias en lo que va de la temporada.
Sin embargo, el ganador del Critérium du Dauphiné, Jakob Fuglsang (Astana) no consiguió desplazar al esloveno Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) quien escalo hasta la segunda posición debido a los puntos conseguidos en el Giro de Italia que finalizó en los primeros días de junio.
Fuglsang ocupa la tercera plaza por delante de Alejandro Valverde (Movistar Team), Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ), Greg Van Avermaet (CCC Team) y Pascal Ackermann (Bora-Hansgrohe), todos los cuales mantuvieron sus posiciones en la clasificación. Alexander Kristoff (UAE Team Emirates), saltó tres lugares hasta el octavo, seguido de Michael Matthews (Team Sunweb) en el noveno lugar y Oliver Naesen (AG2R La Mondiale) completando el top 10.
El mejor colombiano ubicado en la Clasificación individual es Miguel Ángel López (Astana) en la posición 17. Egan Bernal (Team Ineos), quien recientemente gano el Tour de Suiza, subió 35 lugares y ahora se ubica en la posición 23.
